REVIEW: BOKESI Art Coloring Cushion

A surge of hormones in your body detected by hypothalamus in the brain is STRESS. It reacts to it by producing hormones that include adrenaline and cortisol a.k.a "fight or flight response".  Due to revolution of gadgets there are innumerable ways to declutter and follow anti-stress methods.

To alleviate stress ART THERAPY has been the most easiest mode. As one need not be Picasso, it can be done with a pen and a spare piece of paper anytime, anywhere till you feel a bit calm.

I recently went to Al-Raunak Bin-Omran for stationery shopping there were various art stress relieving materials to be found but what caught my eyes were Bokesi's DIY ART coloring Pillow/Cushion. It had various designs like trees, birds and so on. I got my hand on the heart design cushion cover.

Packaging:

It comes in a cardboard box and is easy to open. The cushion cover comes in a medium size plastic sealed bag and the non-toxic paint tube vibrant colors, 2 brushes and a palette comes in a separate small plastic bag inside it. 

Instructions:

The instructions written at the back are really easy to read and understand.

How to open the paint tubes are mentioned clearly.

The kit comes with 2 color guide charts.

You need to let the paint dry for 24 hours.

The paint tube colors are gum based so it is easily peel-able if you accidentally spill it on your hand.

Drawbacks:

As soon as you open the cardboard packaging there's an unpleasant odor which actually comes from the cushion cover.

The paint tubes are way too delicate, when you're opening the seal if you accidentally squeeze the tube in order to hold it tight you the color will be all over the place.

Overall

It is ideal for both kids and adults. If you're bored and sick of gluing your eyes to your phones, iPads, any other gadget this is the perfect solution to cut down some ME time from your busy schedule and let your imagination fly.
